Interview mit Andreas Aren 29.07.2004

Andreas was ready to answer some questions before the qualification in Hinterzarten for the first Summer-Grand-Prix.

Thanks to www.swedish-skijumping.com for show you the interview here.

Your first competition was the Continentalcup in Oberstdorf. What do you think about it?
Andreas: I was very very late and therefore I am not really satisfied. The second competition on Sunday was a bit better, but I was unlucky with the wind.

What are your plans for this summer?
Andreas: I only jump in Hinterzarten at the summer-grand-prix. Then I will change into Continentalcup. Maybe I will start in Lillehammer. It all depends on the money.

How hard is it to be a skijumper in Sweden? Behind Johans good results?
Andreas: At all it is not so easy to jump in Sweden. We are getting no support. But nevertheless there are hopeful skijumpers here in Sweden. Johan is insperating me and he is a very good leader.

How does your preparation for summer look like?
Andreas: We are still searching a coach, so I can not say much. But I think, we will train normal in Falun and at some other hills.

How is the training there in Falun, your club?
Andreas: It is pretty good in Falun. We are training at our hill and we are coached by Jachim Bulin and also Johan Munters.

How does the trouble in your skifederation influences your jumping?
Andreas: It influences me pretty much. You must be free in the head, if you are jumping. At the moment it is no fun to jump…

How hard is it to change coach from trainingscamp to trainingscamp?
Andreas: It does not matter. I know what to do, so I am just looking for my jumps. I just focus on my own jumps.

What do you hope for the future?
Andreas: I hope, there will be a solution for the sponsors. We need money and this problem must be solved. Then we can train and jump better and better.
